Alder Flycatcher
The Alder Flycatcher is an insect eating bird, also eating the occasional winter fruit. The Alder Flycatcher is so similar to its relative the Willow Flycatcher that they are often thought to be the same species - the only definable difference is their song and their nest. The Alder Flycatcher's nest is a rough loose cup of sticks and other materials, generally sitting lower in a bush. They like also to hang different materials off the bottom of their nest. The Willow Flycatcher's nest is generally neater and they do not hang materials off the nest. The Alder flycatcher breeds in wet thickets having a preference for alder, maple and birch, they lay 3-4eggs per clutch.
