American Kestrel
The American Kestrel is the most common falcon in North America found in towns and wild areas alike. They are also not fussy when it come to breeding areas, again being found in the suburbs as well as more rural areas. They will nest in trees, buildings or other cavities they find. They will not add anything to the area in which they nest. The females tend to prefer more open areas for nesting, while the males have a preference for areas with more trees. The Kestrel feeds on a large variety of foods large insects, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians and even other birds.
