Baltimore Oriole
The Baltimore Oriole breeds along the edges of woodlands and open areas with scatters of trees, particularly deciduous trees. During winter it prefers humid forest habitats. Its gourd shaped nest is woven from hair, plant fibers and synthetic fibers. It hangs this nest by the rim from branches in a tree. This Oriole feed on insects from the trees and ground. Young male Baltimore Orioles do not achieve adult plumage until the fall of their second year. It is rare, but some young males will still attract a female despite their lack of masculine plumage.
