Woodlouse Picture - Insect

Photo Taken By: Carmo Police

Animal Name: Woodlouse
Animal Type: Insect
Woodlice are a crustacean. An unusual feature is that they do not produce urine. Instead of excreting urine, woodlice excrete their nitrogenous waste in the form of ammonia gas. They are usually found in damp, dark places, such as under rocks and logs. This is because they need moisture due to the fact that they breathe through gills.
