About 4 inches in length, this small active bird has a thin, pointed bill and mostly yellow plumage. Their diet consists mainly of insects and spiders, but northern races will also take some berries. This species can be found in almost the whole of North America and down to northern South America. Its preferred habitat is in open, often wet, woodland or shrub.
